Limba

Limba (or Malimba) is an ethnic group of the Republic of Cameroon. They belong to the Sawa peoples, those on the Cameroonian coast.

Limba people are also one of the indigenous ethnic groups in the Republic of Sierra Leone. They are the third largest ethnic group in the country and make up almost 10% of the population which is about 567.000 members. They are especially found in the Northern Province, particulaly in Bombali District and in the capital city of Freetown and its countryside.

Limba is part of the Bantu group of the Niger-Congo language family.
